Meet the artists of North Wales!

Helfa Gelf /Art Trail, North Wales' biggest Open Studio Event, invites you to visit artists at work in their studios this September.

Now in its fifth year, this free annual event is now spread right across North Wales with 125 studios taking part. It is a unique chance for visitors to experience this normally hidden world and get to chat to the artists and crafts people about their creative process.

Over three weekends in September, forge your own art trail around the area, calling in on painters, sculptors, photographers, jewellery makers, woodworkers, potters, textile workers, glass makers, basket weavers, printers, each one with a highly individual skill.

Take this great opportunity to hunt down those undiscovered art treasures and see how they’re made – whether you are just curious about what artists and craftspeople do in their studios, or want to start your own collection of interesting artworks bought direct from the makers.

The unique studio spaces are located in every kind of venue, from purpose-built studios and galleries to garden sheds and back rooms, in wild countryside and busy towns. You will receive a warm welcome from the artists wherever they are, and will join the ever-growing number of art enthusiasts who enjoy this yearly event.

Helfa Gelf /Art Trail runs from the 10 -12th, 17-19th and 24-26th September in Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire and Flintshire. Studios are open from 11am-5pm daily. For further details about the event, maps and information about the artists, click on any of the menu items on the left.
